Horton Plains National Park — Cloud Forest Trek

About This Experience
Walk above the clouds to World's End.
Horton Plains is a different Sri Lanka altogether: a high, cold, silent plateau of cloud forest and golden grassland, protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The trek's climax is World's End, a sheer cliff where the plateau simply stops, and on a clear morning the view runs unbroken toward the southern coast.
The Experience
This is a roughly five-hour guided experience around the famous plateau loop, taking in World's End, Baker's Falls and the cloud forest in between. Everything is arranged in advance; you just arrive, trek, and enjoy the highlands. The plateau sits above 2,100 metres: mornings are cold, the air is thin, and the light is extraordinary.
Good to Know
- Minimum 2 participants, up to 12 · intermediate fitness; the loop is long but not technical.
- Start early: the clouds typically swallow World's End by mid-morning.
- Bring warm layers, walking shoes, water and sun protection. You will need all four in one morning.
